Dr. Heather Vinet is a Research Scientist turned Holistic Medicine and Healing Nutrition Practitioner and founder of Scientifically Natural. Dr. Vinet attended Tulane University on a full academic scholarship while participating as an invited walk-on to both Tulane's Volleyball and Track and Field teams. She graduated cum laude in 2006 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane's School of Science and Engineering with specific focus on the mathematical analysis of infectious disease in non-human primates, which led to her past position as the Director of the Biotelemetry Core within the Division of Veterinary Medicine at the Tulane National Primate Research Center (TNPRC).
After 15 years and 14 publications, Dr. Vinet transitioned her career into the clinical setting and became the Director of Regenerative Medicine at Covington Orthopedic Sports Medicine Institute where she conducted research studies on the use of alternative ortho-biologic treatments for several orthopedic conditions, the culmination of which was published in the journal, Regenerative Medicine. She now applies her nearly 20 years experience to her Holistic Medicine practice to provide her clients with logic and compassion in determining the root cause of illness and a one-of-a-kind experience in healing through natural methods and nutritional support. Dr. Vinet was recently named as the 2024, February Enterprising Woman for Sophisticated Woman magazine and hopes to serve her community to provide natural health solutions strengthened by research.
